Rules of the cottage
We share our holiday home with people who respect the environment, the equipment and of course people.
By booking, you agree to the following conditions:
FINANCIAL CONDITIONS:

  1. A down payment of 30% must be paid into our bank account at the time of booking in order to secure the reservation. This payment is not refundable in case of cancellation.
  2. The balance and the deposit must be paid into our bank account at the latest 30 days before arrival. Otherwise, the stay is cancelled and no refund will be made.
  3. The deposit will be returned to your bank account 10 days after your departure if no damage has been observed. Otherwise, part of the deposit will be retained in proportion to the damage done and if the value of the damage is higher, you will owe the difference.
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  1. We must find the gîte in the excellent condition it was in when you entered. You will find a list of available equipment in the welcome folder. If you notice a problem on arrival (damage, missing object, malfunction), you must inform us immediately by e-mail or text message. Otherwise, you will be held responsible on your departure.
  2. The main tenant is responsible for any damage caused by him, his family or guests. He will report them as soon as possible, at the latest at the time of departure. If damage or disappearance has been noted, only part of the deposit will be retained in proportion to the costs incurred.
  3. The holiday cottage is located in a peaceful village, so no noise pollution is tolerated. Respect for the neighbours is very important to us. Everyone has the right to a peaceful night's sleep!  In case of a complaint from the neighbours, part of the deposit may be withheld.
  4. It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the cottage or in the garage. Under no circumstances may cigarette butts be found on the terraces, in the garden, the flowerbeds or the orchard!
  5. It is strictly forbidden to make a fire in the garden or orchard. Use the barbecue at your disposal.
  6. The cottage has a private parking space right next to the house. The other parking spaces on the left and opposite belong to the neighbours. Our garage is perfect for motorbikes or bicycles, but it is not well suited for a car. If you come with more than one car, the others must park in the large parking lot just across the bridge.

CLEANING:

  1. The cottage must be cleaned on your departure. If you do not wish to do it yourself, you can ask for the cottage to be cleaned for a fee (60 EUR) at the time of booking. If the state of cleanliness at your departure is not satisfactory, you will be charged 80 EUR for the cleaning.
  2. Cleaning for a fee does not include the cleaning of the kitchen equipment (emptying the dishwasher, cleaning the fridge, oven and microwave oven) or the waste disposal (sorting in the different bins as explained in the welcome pack). It is therefore up to you to do this in all cases. Otherwise, 25 EUR will be deducted from the deposit for the kitchen cleaning, and 25 EUR for the bins.
IN THE COTTAGE:
  1. For safety reasons, the maximum capacity of the house may not be exceeded (max. 9 people: 8 beds for children/adults + 1 baby cot).
  2. Household appliances are provided with detailed instructions for use. Please read them before use.
  3. It is forbidden to use a deep fryer.
  4. Cutting boards are available. Please use them to avoid damaging the worktop.
  5. Furniture or beds must not be moved around as this would damage them. However, the two single beds in each room are specifically designed so that they can be moved slightly closer or further apart, depending on your needs.
  6. We control the boiler remotely. If you want to adjust the heating, the thermostat is located in the dining room. Think of the planet and avoid opening the windows wide with the radiators set on high!

LEAVING:
  1. Waste must be sorted according to the instructions on site. When you leave, the bags from the kitchen and sanitary bins must have been put in the large bin in the garage.
  2. The kitchen must be clean: the rubbish bins must be sorted and placed according to the instructions on site, the dishwasher, ovens and fridge must be emptied and cleaned by you even if you have taken the 'paid cleaning' option.
  3. Close all windows and doors securely.

TO BE PROVIDED BY YOU:
  1. Bed linen: fitted sheets (six 90 cm x 200 cm beds - one 140 cm sofa bed), duvet covers (enough duvets for 1 and 2 people are available) and pillowcases
  2. Bathroom linen (towels, flannels)
  3. Toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, coffee and tea pads, etc. There will be a small quantity of these so your stay gets off to a good start but you will need to supply extra if necessary.
  4. A sleeping bag for the umbrella bed: sheet and fitted sheet are provided but there is no duvet or blanket.

WITH CHILDREN:

  1. Keep in mind that they are not in their usual environment and could therefore behave unexpectedly. Draw their attention to the risks of the bunk bed, the stairs, the terrace railings that are not to be climbed on, the river, etc., even if you think they are familiar with them in normal circumstances.
  2. Do not leave them alone in the baby bath, even for a few moments.
  3. Make sure that they do not block the toilet by using lots of toilet paper. Do not throw wipes, etc. into the toilet yourself.
  4. Please make sure that they handle books, games and toys with care, without scattering the parts, and then put them away properly, so that everyone can always enjoy them.
  5. Remind them that beds and duvets are not trampolines or play accessories.
  6. Remind them if necessary that the garden and nature should be enjoyed without shouting or screaming non-stop, and without damaging trees and other plants.
  7. Don't forget the cuddly toys when you leave... we will send them back to you as soon as possible, but it is never a pleasant experience for the little ones!

WITH A PET:
We gladly accept animals but under the following conditions:
  1. Notify us at the time of booking
  2. There is a supplement of 20 €.
  3. Maximum 2 dogs.
  4. Pets are not allowed in the bedrooms.
